Mexico FMM (Forma Migratoria Múltiple)
Short answer: Visitors entering Mexico. Many airports now record air arrivals digitally; land travelers going beyond the border zone or staying longer than a short visit generally need an FMM. Online before arrival, or at the land border. The FMM is valid for up to 180 calendar days and covers one entry only. Cost: INM’s official form says fees may apply depending on your entry, but the page doesn’t list an amount. Any amount due is shown during the official application.
File on the official Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) siteHow to file

- Enter your passport and trip details.
- Pay any fee that applies to your entry type.
- Keep the FMM (printed or on your phone) until you leave Mexico.
Before you go
- The form does not replace your passport. Check that your passport is valid long enough with our validity rules by country.
- Read the full Mexico entry requirements.
- Passport expiring soon? Renew first.
