Getting a passport photo at Costco
Costco no longer takes passport photos, but its photo printing is the cheapest way to print the sheet you make here. The typical price is Print cost only (about $0.20 per 4x6 in sheet), and same day for 4x6 in prints Membership required.
Costco photo counters print the standard 2×2 inch (51×51 mm) format required for U.S. passport books, passport cards, and most visa applications. Before you go, confirm your nearest store's counter hours with the official Costco store locator — photo service hours are often shorter than store hours, and availability varies by location. If the photo is for a passport application the same day, remember the photo fee is paid to Costco while the government's application and execution fees are paid separately at the acceptance facility.
Compliant photos must be taken within the last six months, against a plain white or off-white background, with a neutral expression, no glasses, and no head covering unless worn daily for religious or medical reasons. If a Costco retake is not convenient, our free browser tool below can produce the same compliant image from a phone photo in about five minutes.
