The U.S. passport card is a wallet-sized, plastic passport that serves as proof of U.S. citizenship and identity. It has the same validity period as a passport book but with limited usage.

Important: The passport card is not valid for international air travel.

How to Apply

First-Time Applicants

  • Must apply in person
  • Use Form DS-11
  • Bring required documents

  • Must have eligible previous passport
